Privacy Policy

Family Court Counseling ("we", "us") operates the websites at family-court-truth.emergent.host and familycourtcounseling.com (the "Service"). The Service is an advocacy and counseling-discovery platform for people navigating family-court-ordered counseling.

Account data (Google Sign-In) — when you sign in we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store these so we can recognize you on return visits and attach your bookmarks to your account.

Bookmarks — the list of resources you save is stored with your user ID. Only you can see your bookmarks.

Forms you submit — counselor bookings, contact messages, and anonymous stories are stored in our database so we can respond or moderate. Story submissions are anonymous by default.

Court documents you upload to Decipher — files are held in temporary storage only while analysis runs (typically 20–60 seconds) and then deleted. Only the structured analysis output is retained, attached to a randomly generated analysis ID.

Chats with Anchor — your messages are stored so we can show your conversation history on return visits. We do not sell or share these messages.

Standard server logs — IP address, user agent, timestamps, and request paths, retained for security and abuse detection.

We do not collect: passwords (Google handles authentication), credit cards, precise geolocation, advertising identifiers, contacts, calendar, or microphone access. We do not place advertising trackers on the Service.

To operate the Service: keep you signed in, render your bookmarks, respond to contact messages, deliver Anchor and Decipher functionality, and run safety/moderation on submitted stories.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

AI providers — Anchor messages are sent to Anthropic Claude. Decipher documents are sent to Google Gemini. OG card generation uses Google Gemini. These providers process content on our behalf under their respective data-processing terms.

Infrastructure — our database and servers are hosted on the Emergent platform.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

You can ask us to: export your data, delete your account, or correct inaccurate information. Email privacy@familycourtcounseling.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You can sign out at any time from the user menu. Removing your account also removes your bookmarks and chat history.

The Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

When we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
